Idiopathic myelofibrosis (IM), is a chronic myeloproliferative disorder (MPD) characterised by marrow fibrosis, extramedullary haematopoiesis and a leuco-erythroblastic picture of the peripheral blood. Cytogenetic data of IM is scarce: no specific karyotypic anomalies have been yet described.
