Abstract On the basis of lithology, structural style, and fossil evidence, northern and southern units are recognised within the Chrystalls Beach Complex exposed on the coast south of Akatore Creek, southwest of Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand. Radiolarians including Spongopallium sp. cf.
