The TOV equation appears as the relativistic counterpart of the classical condition for hydrostatic equilibrium. In the present work we aim at showing that a generalised TOV equation also characterises the equilibrium of models endowed with other symmetries besides spherical. We apply the dual null formalism to spacetimes with two dimensional spherical, planar and hyperbolic symmetries with a perfect fluid as the source. We also assume a Killing vector field orthogonal to the surfaces of…

Analysis of hyperbolically symmetric fluid configurations in modified Gauss–Bonnet gravity

This paper studies in detail the general physical properties inherent to the static fluid configurations possessing hyperbolic symmetry through the mechanism of modified Gauss–Bonnet gravity (GBG).

Significance of Charge on the Dynamics of Hyperbolically Distributed Fluids

This manuscript is devoted to analyze hyperbolically symmetric non-static fluid distribution incorporated with heat flux and electromagnetic field. We have developed a general framework in order to

Spatially Hyperbolic Gravitating Sources in Λ-Dominated Era

This study focuses on the impact of the cosmological constant on hyperbolically symmetric matter configurations in a static background. I extend the work of Herrera et al. 2021. and describe the

A Comprehensive Analysis of Hyperbolical Fluids in Modified Gravity

This paper is devoted to understanding a few characteristics of static irrotational matter content that assumes hyperbolical symmetry. For this purpose, we use metric f(R) gravity to carry out our

Hyperbolically symmetric sources, a comprehensive study in f(T) gravity

The theme of this work is to carry a comprehensive analysis on static fluid distribution enclosed with hyperbolically symmetric source in the framework of f(T) gravity as an extension of the work of

Hyperbolically symmetric sources in Palatini f(R) gravity

A thorough examination of static hyperbolically symmetric matter configuration in the context of Palatini f(R) gravitational theory has been carried out in this manuscript. Following the work of

Hyperbolically Symmetric Versions of Lemaitre–Tolman–Bondi Spacetimes

The remarkable fact is that all solutions satisfying the vanishing complexity factor condition are necessarily nondissipative and satisfy the stiff equation of state.

Dynamics of Hyperbolically Symmetric Fluids

It is shown that the energy density is necessarily negative, and the central region cannot be attained by any fluid element, and this inner region is described by a vacuum cavity around the center.

Modified Gravity and Cosmology: An Update by the CANTATA Network

General Relativity and the ΛCDM framework are currently the standard lore and constitute the concordance paradigm. Nevertheless, long-standing open theoretical issues, as well as possible new

Charged cosmological black holes: A thorough study of a family of solutions

We study a class of charged cosmological black holes defined by the Shah-Vaidya solution, which is similar to the McVittie solution but for a central object of nonzero electric charge. We show that

A class of homogeneous cosmological models

Einstein's field equations are studied under the assumptions that (1) the source of the gravitational field is a perfect fluid, and (2) there exists a group of motions simply transitive on

Exact solutions of the Einstein–Maxwell equations for spherically symmetric charged perfect fluid have been broadly studied so far. However, the cases with a nonzero cosmological constant are seldom

Shear - free anisotropic cosmological models

A class of orthogonal, spatially homogeneous shear-free cosmological models with an imperfect liquid matter content is considered. It is shown that, for these models, the anisotropic stresses are

The Einstein equations for a spherically symmetrical distribution of matter are studied. The matter is described by the stress-energy tensor of an ideal fluid (heat flow and radiation are therefore

Republication of: Relativistic cosmology

This is a republication of a paper by G.F.R. Ellis first published in Proceedings of the International School of Physics: General Relativity and Cosmology, 1971, in which he formulated the framework

On Massive neutron cores

It has been suggested that, when the pressure within stellar matter becomes high enough, a new phase consisting of neutrons will be formed. In this paper we study the gravitational equilibrium of

General exact solutions of Einstein equations for static perfect fluids with spherical symmetry

The gravitational field equations for a spherical symmetric perfect fluid are completely solved. The general analytical solution obtained depends on an arbitrary function of the radial coordinate. As
