Human anti-thyroperoxidase (TPO) autoantibodies (aAbs) are a major hallmark of autoimmune thyroid diseases. Their epitopes are discontinuous and mainly restricted to an immunodominant region (IDR) consisting of two overlapping regions (IDR/A and B).
