Measurements performed at the Tevatron of both the like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in B_d,s-meson samples and the mixing-induced CP asymmetry in B_s -> J/psi phi depart from their standard model (SM) predictions. This could be an indication for new CP phases in Delta B = 2 transitions, preferentially in B_s-Bbar_s mixing. The experimental situation, however, remained inconclusive, as it favored values of the element Gamma_12^s of the decay matrix in the B_s-meson system that are notably…

$B$-mixing in and beyond the Standard model
We review the status of mixing of neutral $B$-mesons, including a discussion of the current precision of Standard Model (SM) predictions as well as the space that is left for effects of new physics.
Recent topics in CP violation
Recent topics regarding CP violation in heavy meson systems are discussed. As an introduction, the status of the Unitarity Triangle fit and CP violation in B meson mixing are briefly reviewed. Two
$ B_s^0 - \overline B_s^0 $ mixing in a family non-universal Z′ model revisited
A bstractMotivated by the very recent measurements performed at the LHCb and the Tevatron of the $ B_s^0 - \overline B_s^0 $ mixing, in this paper we revisit it in a family non-universal Z′ model, to
Implications of the experimental results on rare $b \to s + (\gamma, \ell^+ \ell^-)$ decays
The experimental measurements of flavor-changing neutral-current B-meson decays governed by b --> s + (gamma, l^+ l^-) transitions have entered a new level of precision. Recent results by Belle, CDF,
Theoretical update of B-Mixing and Lifetimes
We review the current status of theoretical predictions for mixing quantities and lifetimes in the $B$-sector. In particular, due to the first non-zero measurement of the decay rate difference in the
The effect of z^prime boson on same-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in $ b_q^0 - bar b_q^0$ system
The recent observation of the same-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in the B system by the D0 collaboration has 3.9 sigma deviation from the standard model prediction. However, the recent LHCb data on
On new physics in ΔΓd
A bstractMotivated by the recent measurement of the dimuon asymmetry by the DØ collaboration, which could be interpreted as an enhanced decay rate difference in the neutral Bd-meson system, we
Measurement of the B¯(s)(0) effective lifetime in the J/ψf0(980) final state.
The effective lifetime of the B ¯(s)(0) meson in the decay mode B¯(s)(0)→J/ψf(0)(980) is measured using 1.0 fb(-1) of data collected in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV with the LHCb detector. The result is

Anatomy of new physics in B-B mixing
We analyse three different New Physics scenarios for Delta F=2 flavour-changing neutral currents in the quark sector in the light of recent data on neutral-meson mixing. We parametrise generic New
CP Violating Contribution to $\Delta \Gamma$ in the $B_s$ System from Mixing with a Hidden Pseudoscalar
Recent evidence for a CP violating asymmetry in the semileptonic decays of Bs mesons cannot be accommodated within the Standard Model. Such an asymmetry can be explained by new physics contributions
Neutral gauge boson contributions to the dimuon charge asymmetry in B decays
Recently, the DØ Collaboration measured the CP-violating like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in neutral B decays, finding a 3.2σ difference from the standard-model (SM) prediction. Anon-SM charge
Measurement of the semileptonic charge asymmetry in $B^0$ meson mixing with the D0 detector
We present a measurement of the semileptonic mixing asymmetry for B0 mesons, a^d_{sl}, using two independent decay channels: B0 -> mu+D-X, with D- -> K+pi-pi-; and B0 -> mu+D*-X, with D*- -> antiD0
Measurement of the anomalous like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry with 9 fb(-1) of p(p)over-bar collisions
We present an updated measurement of the anomalous like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry A(sl)(b) for semileptonic b-hadron decays in 9.0 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions recorded with the D0 detector

This paper proposes to measure the tau polarization in the inclusive decay of B to X to discuss how it can be used, in conjunction with other observables, to completely determine the parameters of the flavor-changing low-energy effective Hamiltonian.
Constraints on a new light spin-one particle from rare b→s transitions
The anomalously large like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry in semileptonic b-hadron decays recently measured by the D0 Collaboration may be hinting at the presence of CP-violating new physics in the
Precision measurement of the electroweak flavor-changing neutral current decays of B mesons
We report the precise measurement of the branching fraction for the electroweak penguin process B → Xsll, where l is an electron or a muon and Xs is a hadronic system containing an s-quark,
