Topological pupil segmentation and point spread function analysis for large aperture imaging systems

An optimization strategy for several pupil segment topologies for next-generation telescope concepts and wave propagation results based on diffraction-limited point spread function analyses using Fraunhofer diffraction theory are presented using the Python-based POPPY simulation tool.

The Ecopoesis Model: Did Free Oxygen Fuel the Origin of Life?

A model for biopoesis is proposed where a complex, dynamic ecosphere, characterised by steep redox potentials, precedes and conditions the gradual formation of organismal life. A flow of electrons
