Since a few decades the dengue virus became a major public health concern and no treatment is available yet. In order to propose potential antide ngue compounds for chemotherapy we focused on DENV R A polymerase (DENV-NS5 RdRp) which is specific and es sential for the virus replication. Carpolepis laurifolia belongs to the Myrtaceae and is used as febrifuge i n traditional kanak medicine. Leaf extract of this plant has been identified as a hit against the DENV-NS5 RdRp. Here we present a… Expand

Policresulen, a novel NS2B/NS3 protease inhibitor, effectively inhibits the replication of DENV2 virus in BHK-21 cells
TLDR
Policresulen is a potent inhibitor ofDENV2 NS2B/NS3 protease that inhibits DENV2 replication in BHK-21 cells and provides useful hints for designing new type of inhibitors against the protease. Expand
Quercetin derivatives as non-nucleoside inhibitors for dengue polymerase: molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, and binding free energy calculation
TLDR
This study demonstrates Quercetin 3-(6″-(E)-p-coumaroylsophoroside)-7-rhamnoside as a potent non-nucleoside inhibitor for dengue polymerase. Expand
Structural basis of flavonoids as dengue polymerase inhibitors: insights from QSAR and docking studies
TLDR
A quantitative structural activity relationship study is performed on a set of 33 flavonoids using multiple linear regression method and showed that the descriptors such as hydrogen bond acceptors, branching index with respect to molecular size and electrotopology of carbon atom explain well the variance in the antiviral activity of flavonoid activity. TLDR
Time-course studies revealed that betulinic acid inhibits a post-entry stage of the DENV replication cycle and subsequent analyses showed that the compound is able to inhibit viral RNA synthesis and protein production, which demonstrated antiviral efficacy against other serotypes of DENV. Expand
A systematic review on phytochemicals for the treatment of dengue
TLDR
The current studies showed that natural products represent a rich source of medicines toward the dengue fever, and different crude extracts and essential oils obtained from different species showed a broad activity against different phytochemicals. Expand
Non-Structural Proteases as a Target of Dengue Virus
TLDR
A review compiles the recent developments based on the huge number of such molecular space created by diverse scaffolds, specifically targeting NS2B-NS3 protease and methyltransferase of dengue virus (DENV) infection. Expand
Recent update on anti-dengue drug discovery.
TLDR
A review of anti-DENV molecules and their drug targets that have been published within the past five years (2014-2018) to enhance the understanding of novel agents and their cognate targets in furthering innovations in the use of small molecules for dengue drug therapies. Expand
Novel adenosine derivatives against SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase: an in silico perspective
TLDR
Four compounds are suggested as potential SARS-CoV-2 RdRp inhibitors, which need to be validated experimentally, which are shown to have better binding affinity compared to remdesivir. Expand
Flavonoids from Brazilian Cerrado: Biosynthesis, Chemical and Biological Profile
TLDR
The characterization and plant diversity are presented with emphasis on the families of flavonoid-producing plants, and the phenylpropanoid pathway is described which represents the flavonoids’ main route biosynthesis—generally conserved in all species. Expand
