We present a catalog of 424 common proper-motion companions to Hipparcos stars with good (>3 σ) parallaxes, thereby effectively providing new parallaxes for these companions. Compared with typical stars in the Hipparcos catalog, these stars are substantially dimmer. The catalog includes 20 white dwarfs and an additional 29 stars with MV > 14, the great majority of the latter being M dwarfs.

We present the discovery of 61 wide (>5 arcsecond) separation, low-mass (stellar and substellar) companions to stars in the solar neighborhood identified from Pan-STARRS\,1 (PS1) data and theExpand
New Distant Companions to Known Nearby Stars. II. Faint Companions of Hipparcos Stars and the Frequency of Wide Binary Systems
We perform a search for faint, common proper motion companions of Hipparcos stars using the recently published Lepine-Shara Proper Motion-North catalog of stars with proper motion μ > 0.15'' yr-1.Expand
Prospecting in late-type dwarfs: a calibration of infrared and visible spectroscopic metallicities of late-K and M dwarfs spanning 1.5 dex
Knowledge of late K and M dwarf metallicities can be used to guide planet searches and constrain planet formation models. However, the determination of metallicities of late-type stars is difficultExpand
WIDE COMPANIONS TO HIPPARCOS STARS WITHIN 67 PC OF THE SUN
A catalog of common-proper-motion (CPM) companions to stars within 67 pc of the Sun is constructed based on the SUPERBLINK proper-motion survey. It contains 1392 CPM pairs with angular separationsExpand
Overlooked wide companions of nearby F stars
AIMS: We checked a sample of 545 F stars within 50 pc for wide companions using existing near-infrared and optical sky surveys. METHODS: Applying the common proper motion (CPM) criterion, we detectedExpand
Discovery of Nine New Companions to Nearby Young M Stars with the Altair AO System
We present results of a high-resolution, near-infrared survey of 41 nearby, young (300 Myr) M0-M5.0 dwarfs using the Altair natural guide star adaptive optics system at the Gemini North telescope.Expand
TOWARD PRECISE AGES FOR SINGLE STARS IN THE FIELD. GYROCHRONOLOGY CONSTRAINTS AT SEVERAL Gyr USING WIDE BINARIES. I. AGES FOR INITIAL SAMPLE
We present a program designed to obtain age-rotation measurements of solar-type dwarfs to be used in the calibration of gyrochronology relations at ages of several Gyr. This is a region of parameterExpand
Multicolour CCD measurements of visual double and multiple stars. III

Binary frequency of planet-host stars at wide separations: A new brown dwarf companion to a planet-host star
The aim of the project is to improve our knowledge on the multiplicity of planet-host stars at wide physical separations. We cross-matched approximately 6200 square degree area of the Southern skyExpand
