Using an $SO(10)$-inspired form for the Dirac neutrino mass, we map the neutrino data to right-handed neutrino Majorana mass-matrix, $\mathcal M$, and investigate a special form with \emph{seesaw} tribimaximal mixing; it predicts a normal hierarchy, and the values of the light neutrino masses. It may be generated by mapping the top quark hierarchy onto the vacuum values of familon fields transforming under the family group $\mathcal{ PSL}_2(7)$. We next investigate the hypothesis that these…

Exotic see-saw mechanism for neutrinos and leptogenesis in a Pati-Salam model
A bstractWe discuss non-perturbative corrections to the neutrino sector, in the context of a D-brane Pati-Salam-like model, that can be obtained as a simple alternative to SO(10) GUT’s in theories
Conformal standard model with an extended scalar sector
A bstractWe present an extended version of the Conformal Standard Model (characterized by the absence of any new intermediate scales between the electroweak scale and the Planck scale) with an
SL(2, 7) representations and their relevance to neutrino physics
The investigation of the rôle of finite groups in flavor physics and, particularly, in the interpretation of the neutrino data has been the subject of intensive research. Motivated by this fact, in
Neutrino Flavour Symmetries
We provide a general classification of flavour symmetries according to their interplay with the proper Poincare' and gauge groups and to their linear or nonlinear action in field space. We focus on
Stitching an asymmetric texture with T13×Z5 family symmetry
We propose $\mathcal{T}_{13} = \mathcal{Z}_{13} \rtimes \mathcal{Z}_3$ as the underlying non-Abelian discrete family symmetry of the asymmetric texture presented in arXiv:1805.10684 [hep-ph]. Its mod
Leptogenesis from the asymmetric texture
We investigate nonresonant thermal leptogenesis in the context of the $SU(5)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{\mathcal{T}}_{13}$ ``asymmetric texture'', where both Dirac and Majorana $CP$ violation

Global analysis of neutrino masses, mixings and phases: entering the era of leptonic CP violation searches
We perform a global analysis of neutrino oscillation data, including high-precision measurements of the neutrino mixing angle ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{13}$ at reactor experiments, which have confirmed
Majorana physics through the Cabibbo Haze
A bstractWe present a model in which the Supersymmetric Standard Model is aug-mented by the family symmetry $ {{\mathcal{Z}}_7} \rtimes {{\mathcal{Z}}_3} $. Motivated by SO(10), where the charge
Complex spinors and unified theories
In this paper delivered by Murray Gell-Mann at the Stony Brook Supergravity Workshop in 1979, several paths to unification are discussed, from N=8 supergravity to $SU_5$, $SO_{10}$, and $E_6$.
Neutrino mass and mixing with discrete symmetry.
This paper focuses on the PMNS mixing matrix and the latest global fits following the Daya Bay and RENO experiments which measure the reactor angle and gives a mini-review of finite group theory.
Indication for the disappearance of reactor electron antineutrinos in the Double Chooz experiment
The Double Chooz Experiment presents an indication of reactor electron antineutrino disappearance consistent with neutrino oscillations. A ratio of 0.944 $\pm$ 0.016 (stat) $\pm$ 0.040 (syst)
Non-Abelian Discrete Symmetries in Particle Physics
We review pedagogically non-Abelian discrete groups, which play an important role in the particle physics. We show group-theoretical aspects for many concrete groups, such as representations, their
Observation of electron-antineutrino disappearance at Daya Bay.
The Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment has measured a nonzero value for the neutrino mixing angle θ(13) with a significance of 5.2 standard deviations. Antineutrinos from six 2.9 GWth reactors were
Unification and fermion mass structure.
Abstract Grand Unified Theories predict relationships between the GUT-scale quark and lepton masses. Using new data in the context of the MSSM, we update the values and uncertainties of the masses
Planck 2013 results. XVI. Cosmological parameters
This paper presents the first cosmological results based on Planck measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and lensing-potential power spectra. We find that the Planck
SO(10) GUT in Four and Five Dimensions: A Review
We review SO(10) grand unified theories (GUTs) in four and five dimensions (4D and 5D). The renormalizable minimal SO(10) SUSY GUT is the central theme of this paper. It is very predictive and make...
