Neuroglia proliferation studied in tissue culture

Abstract

Cell divisions in neonatal rat glia cells in tissue culture were studied, using colchicine and H3-thymidine techniques. A DNA synthesis, not explainable with later mitosis, was found. Various explanations are discussed. One is the presence of amitotic cell divisions, previously seriously discussed in the relevant literature on neuroglia cells. Direct… (More)
