The promise of a new generation of therapies targeted to address neurobiological mechanisms thought to underlie psychological disorders, particularly depression, using cognitive and behavioral techniques is discussed. Relationships between such neurobehaviorally focused therapies and other psychological and rehabilitative interventions are also discussed.
