The set-up of a sorption column operated with circulating groundwater under aerobic and under anaerobic conditions is described. Under aerobic conditions (Eh = 350 to 520 mV), sorption ratios R g of about 1 ml/g to 6 m l / g were observed, depending on the specific surface area of the sediments, the ratio of the concentrations of the individual carbonato complexes of Np(V) and the salinity. Only Np(V) was found in the groundwaters and in the sediments and no colloidal forms of Np were detected… Expand
