The glutathione and cysteine conjugates of the nephrotoxin chlorotrifluoroethene, S-(2-chloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethyl)glutathione (CTFG) and S-(2-chloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethyl)cysteine (CTFC), are potent nephrotoxins in male rats.
