Newly Recognized Synonyms, Homonyms, and Combinations in the North American Miridae (Heteroptera)

Nine new synonyms for species and one for a genus are proposed, replacement names are given for two homonyms, ten species are transferred to different genera, and six lectotypes are selected in the North American Miridae.

Seasonal history and host plants of the ant mimic Barberiella formicoides Poppius, with description of the fifth-instar (Hemiptera: Miridae).

The first host records are provided for the ant-mimetic mirid Barheriella formicoides Poppius, generally considered a rare species, and notes are given on behavior, association with ants, and food habits.
