Abstract This paper develops a general approach for structuring and modeling negotiations, based on integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques with decision theoretic methods. Reasoning from past cases similar to the current negotiation, case-based reasoning, is combined with multi-attribute utility theory.
