Abstract.Objective: To evaluate the clinical features, muscle pathology and response to treatment in patients with a necrotising myopathy, without mononuclear cell infiltrates. Background: Mononuclear cell infiltrates in the muscle biopsy specimen are the diagnostic hallmark of the immune-mediated idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM).
