  • Abstract Background: Asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), an endogenous nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, induces endothelial dysfunction. Nebivolol, a highly selective β1-adrenergic receptor (AR) blocker, is the only beta-blocker known to induce vascular production of nitric oxide.
