We develop a s aling ansatz for the master equation in Dvali, Gabadadze, Porrati osmologies, whi h allows us to solve the equations of motion for perturbations o(cid:27) the brane during periods when the on-brane evolution is s ale-free. This allows us to understand the behavior of the gravitational potentials outside the horizon at high redshifts and lose to the horizon today. We on(cid:28)rm that the results of Koyama and Maartens are valid at s ales relevant for observations su h as galaxy…

Cosmological perturbations on the phantom brane

We obtain a closed system of equations for scalar perturbations in a multi-component braneworld. Our braneworld possesses a phantom-like equation of state at late times, weff < −1, but no big-rip

N-body simulations of DGP and degravitation theories

We perform N-body simulations of theories with infinite-volume extra dimensions, such as the Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati model and its higher-dimensional generalizations, where 4D gravity is mediated by

Unexorcized ghost in DGP brane world

The brane world model proposed by Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati realizes self-acceleration of the universe. However, it is known that this cosmological solution contains a spin-2 ghost. We study the

Nonlinear evolution of initially biased tracers in modified gravity

In this work we extend the perturbation theory for modified gravity (MG) in two main aspects. First, the construction of matter overdensities from Lagrangian displacement fields is shown to hold in a

Induced cosmological constant and other features of asymmetric brane embedding

We investigate the cosmological properties of an `induced gravity' brane scenario in the absence of mirror symmetry with respect to the brane. We find that brane evolution can proceed along one of

Modified Gravity and Cosmology

Do observations offer evidence for cosmological-scale extra dimensions?

We present a case that current observations may already indicate new gravitational physics on cosmological scales. The excess of power seen in the Lyman-α forest and small-scale CMB experiments, the
