Abstract The present work is focused on remediation promoted by natural vegetation at distinctive mine waste-dumps. Three mines, located in different climatic, hydrological, and paragenetic environments, were selected as case studies (Cerdeirinha, Lapa Grande and Penedono, N Portugal).
