It is a long term desire of the computer users to minimize the communication gap between the computer and a human. On the other hand, almost all ICT applications store information in to databases and retrieve from them. Retrieving information from the database requires knowledge of technical languages such as Structured Query Language. However majority of the computer users who interact with the databases do not have a technical background and are intimidated by the idea of using languages such…

NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING IN COOPERATIVE QUERY ANSWERING DATABASES (NLPiCQA)
TLDR
This paper presents an architecture that combines Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Cooperative Query Processing (CQA) to develop a cooperative database system and enables casual users to submit queries in plain English language and the system returns cooperative results – results more than what the user will normally require.
Rule based Domain Specific Semantic Analysis for Natural Language Interface for Database
TLDR
This paper shows how to develop an effective and simple interface for a non-technical user to interact with their database in their natural language and chooses English as the user's natural language.
Rule based Domain Specific Semantic Analysis for Natural Language Interface for Database
TLDR
This paper shows how to develop an effective and simple interface for a non-technical user to interact with their database in their natural language and chooses English as the user's natural language.
Mobile natural language database interface for accessing relational data
TLDR
The contribution of this work is to take the idea of Natural Language, apply it to databases, and examine the advantages and disadvantages of creating a new, lightweight, Natural Language Database Interface.
Frameworks for Querying Databases Using Natural Language: A Literature Review
TLDR
The study concludes that the majority of frameworks focus on translating natural language queries to SQL and translates English language text to queries, and the SQL and NoSQL-based frameworks are categorized.
A Review on Information Retrieval – Natural Language Processing Approach
TLDR
A brief survey of various methods used to store and retrieve data using Natural Language Processing (NLP) is carried out in this paper.
NLP for Information Retrieval using B Trees
TLDR
A hybrid system to query and retrieve the data from the database using natural language is implemented, it is a combination of keyword based and semantic analysis methods and shows that using B-tree is found to be faster and superior in retrieving information.
Using Deep Learning Technique To Query Relational Data Using Multi-Lingual Query Generator And Translator With NLP Support
TLDR
This research proposal intends to create-develop an interface using Meaningful matching techniques that will translate natural search terms as SQL using a predefined set of written production rules and predefined data dictionaries, the data dictionary will consist of a set of definitions for relationships and properties.
Towards Semantic Search for Mathematical Notation
TLDR
Results of exemplary search queries obtained for different types of input data format with application of two different word distance measures are presented and briefly the observed properties are discussed.
Question answering systems: the story till the Arabic linked data
TLDR
This paper surveys various QAS such as Natural Language Interfacing to DataBases (NLIDB), ontology-based question answering and question answering systems for unstructured data, and gives also the point of view on how can QAS deal with Arabic linked data.
