We performed zero and transverse field muon spin rotation experiments on a large number of YBa2Cu3O6+x samples. We detect the coexistence of antiferromagnetic (AF) short range magnetism with superconductivity below T(f) < or = 10 K in compositions 0.37 < or = x < or = 0.39. Most muons experience local AF fields, even when a SQUID detects a full superconducting volume fraction, which points to a local minimal interference organization of short AF stripes embedded in the superconductor. A… Expand
Coexistence of antiferromagnetism and superconductivity in single crystal underdoped YBa2Cu3O6+x
Abstract Muon spin rotation measurements in ultra-clean single crystals of heavily underdoped superconducting YBa 2 Cu 3 O 6 + x ( x ≈ 0.365 ) are presented. The material shows a sharpExpand
Spin-glass state of vortices in YBa2Cu3Oy and La2 xSrxCuO4 below the metal-to-insulator crossover
Highly disordered magnetism confined to individual weakly interacting vortices is detected by muon spin rotation in two different families of high-transition-temperature superconductors, but only inExpand
μSR Studies on Magnetism in High-T c Cuprates
Since the discovery of high-Tc superconductivity in cuprates, muon spin relaxation (μSR) measurements have greatly contributed to the understanding of high-Tc superconductivity. In this paper, μSRExpand
Coherent transport in extremely underdoped Nd1.2Ba1.8Cu3Oz nanostructures
Proximity-effect and resistance magneto-fluctuation measurements in submicron Nd1.2Ba1.8Cu3Oz (NBCO) nano-loops are reported to investigate coherent charge transport in the non-superconducting state.Expand
Magnetic clusters in superconducting lightly doped YBa2Cu3O6+x
Abstract We report μ SR experiments on two lightly doped superconducting YBa 2 Cu 3 O 6 + x samples ( 0.39 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.41 ) , performed with the initial muon spin polarization rotated by 47 ∘ from theExpand
The Underdoped Region of the Phase Diagram of YBa2Cu3O6+x
Here we present a reviewed phase diagram of the high-Tc superconducting YBa2Cu3O6+x compound, finely mapped in the strongly underdoped region (0 < x < 0.5), from the pure antiferromagnetic state toExpand
Coexistence of static magnetism and superconductivity in SmFeAsO(1-x)F(x) as revealed by muon spin rotation.
A muon spin rotation study on SmFeAsO(1-x)F(x), with x=0-0.30 that shows that, as in the cuprates, static magnetism persists well into the superconducting regime, suggests that the proximity to magnetic order and associated soft magnetic fluctuations, rather than strong electronic correlations in the vicinity of a Mott-Hubbard transition, may be the key ingredients of high-Tc superconductors. Muon spin rotation study of magnetism and superconductivity in BaFe2−xCoxAs2 and Pr1−xSrxFeAsO
We present a muon spin rotation (?SR) study of the magnetic and superconducting properties of single crystals of electron-doped BaFe2?xCoxAs2 with x = 0.08, 0.20 and 0.25 (Tc = 9, 25 and 20?K) and ofExpand
Unconventional metallic behavior and superconductivity in the K-Mo-O system
Transport properties and magnetization measurements of the Kx MoO2-δ (0≤x≤0.25) compound are reported. The compound crystallizes in the oxygen deficient MoO2 monoclinic structure with potassium atomsExpand
μSR Studies of Cuprate Superconductors
A partial review of magnetic and superconducting properties of hole-doped cuprates determined by μSR is given. Much was learned about these materials from μSR experiments performed in the early yearsExpand
