Nanoparticles from Plant Saponins as Delivery System for Mucosal Influenza Vaccine

  title={Nanoparticles from Plant Saponins as Delivery System for Mucosal Influenza Vaccine},
  author={S. SokolovaN.},
This article were studied nanoparticles assembled purified influenza virus hemagglutinin and neuraminidase antigens and low toxicity immunostimulating saponins Gg6 and Ah6, isolated from Kazakhstanian plants G.glabra and A.hippocastanum, in the animal vaccination/challenge experiments as delivery system for mucosal influenza subunit vaccine. Incorporation of influenza virus HA and NA antigens into the structure of nanoparticles significantly increased IgG, IgM and IgA antibody immune responses…

Immunostimulating Complexes Incorporating Eimeria tenella Antigens and Plant Saponins as Effective Delivery System for Coccidia Vaccine Immunization

The results of this study indicate that ISCOMs formulated with saponins isolated from plants indigenous to Kazakhstan are an effective antigen delivery system which may be successfully used, with low toxicity, for preparation of highly immunogenic coccidia vaccine.

Mucosal Vaccines: Recent Progress in Understanding the Natural Barriers

This review provides an overview of the events within mucosal tissues that lead to protective mucosal immune responses and information related to modern adjuvants, including polymeric delivery systems and immunopotentiators.

Iscom, a delivery system for parenteral and mucosal vaccination.

Iscoms administered intranasally induce secretory IgA responses in lungs and distant mucosal membranes e.g. in the genital tract, resulting in both MHC class I and class II restricted immune responses.

Generating neutralizing antibodies, Th1 response and MHC non restricted immunogenicity of HIV-I env and gag peptides in liposomes and ISCOMs with in-built adjuvanticity

For enhancing immunogenicity and develop vaccine strategies using peptide based constructs against HIV-1, a chimeric peptide containing V3 loop and transmembrane sequence of gp41 with two glycine

Current status and potential application of ISCOMs in veterinary medicine.

Quaternary structure of the immunostimulating complex (iscom).

Oral Tolerance Increased the Proportion of CD8+ T Cells in Mouse Intestinal Lamina Propria

Results indicate that CD8+ T cells in the intestinal LP may perform a regulatory role following antigen challenge via the oral route.

Cleavage of Structural Proteins during the Assembly of the Head of Bacteriophage T4

Using an improved method of gel electrophoresis, many hitherto unknown proteins have been found in bacteriophage T4 and some of these have been identified with specific gene products. Four major
