The Andorra Kernel Language (AKL), also known as the Agents Kernel Language, is a logic programming language that combines both don’t know nondeterminism and stream programming. This thesis reports on the design and construction of an abstract machine, the DAM, for the parallel execution of AKL programs. Elements of a compiler for the DAM are also described.
