The observed complete reproductive isolation among the three Euborellia taxa and considerable differentiation in the COI sequences clearly show that each should be treated as a separate species.

The earwig species Spongovostox sakaii Nishikawa, 2006 is reported from the Korean Peninsula for the first time, and this is also first record of the pantropical genus Spongvostox Burr, 1911a from the Palearctic Region.
