he Nigerian textile industries (indigenous and modern) which have sustained the national economy for more than three decades are dying by the day without any hope of resurrection. This paper therefore examines factors that are responsible for the dwindling and near extinction of the textile industry in Nigeria and its implications for national growth and development.
