How to protect the legitimate rights and interests of peasant workers has become a pressing public policy problem in China, which calls for the coordinated efforts from the government, enterprises, trade union and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Through a case study of a NGO in Panyu, Guangzhou, this article finds that NGO could play a great role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of peasant workers.
