I present a brief review on the motivation for the study on Lorentz violation and on some of our studies with phenomenological analysis of Lorentz violation effects. I also discuss three effective field theory frameworks for Lorentz violation: the Coleman-Glashow model, the standard model extension (SME), and the standard model supplement (SMS). The situation of the OPERA "anomaly" is also briefly reviewed, together with some discussion on the superluminality of neutrinos within the effective…

Neutrino speed anomaly as signal of Lorentz violation
• Physics
• 2013
Abstract We make a reanalysis on the issue of neutrino speed anomaly by taking into account the newly reported data from the ICARUS experiment and other CNGS collaborations. We examine the
SUPERLUMINAL NEUTRINOS FROM GAUGE FIELD
• Physics
• 2011
We consider a possibility that the recent OPERA results on neutrinos' superluminality could be caused by a local effect of a new gauge field sourced by the earth. If neutrinos couple to this gauge
Probing Lorentz Invariance Violation with Neutrino Factories
In this article we show the modification in the number of neutrino events ($\nu_\mu+\bar\nu_\mu$) caused by Lorentz Invariant Violation (LIV), $\sigma=5\times 10^{-24}$ and $10^{-23}$, in neutrino
Neutrino On The Possible New Time Structure
• Physics

We continue to study the problems of discovering new temporal and spatial properties of neutrinos from the point of the possible multi-dimensional extension the D=(3+1)- special theory of relativity.

The neutrino speed measurement experiments are the continuations of the classic light speed measurement experiments have been done in range of the solar planet system (Ole Roemer, 1676), in star
Replaying Neutrino Bremsstrahlung with General Dispersion Relations
• Physics
• 2011
It is generally held that neutrinos with superluminal velocity will lose their energy spontaneously by radiating electron-positron pairs, similar to bremsstrahlung process. Recently, this process was

On the rationality of the OPERA experiment as a signal of Lorentz violation
• Physics
• 2011
We show that the superluminal muon neutrinos in the recent OPERA experiment can exist theoretically. The refutation of the OPERA experiment from some theoretical arguments is not universally valid,
LORENTZ VIOLATION IN THREE-FAMILY NEUTRINO OSCILLATION
• Physics
• 2009
We analyze the consequences of Lorentz violation (LV) to three-generation neutrino oscillation in the massless neutrino sector. We present a general formalism of three-family neutrino oscillation
Background-dependent Lorentz violation: natural solutions to the theoretical challenges of the superluminal neutrino propagation
• Physics
• 2011
To explain both the possible superluminal neutrino propagation and all the known phenomenological constraints/observations on Lorentz violation, the Background-Dependent Lorentz Violation (BDLV) has

Motivated by a recent and several earlier measurement results of the neutrino velocity, we attempt to resolve the apparent discrepancies between them from the viewpoint of mass-energy relation in

We discuss the kinematic limits for the process \nu_\mu \rightarrow \nu_\mu + e^+ + e^- in the assumption that neutrinos are superluminal. We derive our results by assuming that: i) it exists one

We derive a modified dispersion relation (MDR) in the Lorentz violation extension of the quantum electrodynamics (QED) sector in the standard model extension (SME) framework. Based on the extended

Abstract We analyze the possibility of superluminal neutrino propagation δ v ≡ ( v − c ) / c > 0 as indicated by OPERA data, in view of previous phenomenological constraints from supernova SN1987a

We compare the Lorentz violation terms of the pure photon sector between two field theory models, namely, the minimal standard model extension (SME) and the standard model supplement (SMS). From the

It is found that such a large LIV implied by OPERA data will make the neutrino production process π → μ + ν(μ) kinematically forbidden for a neutrinos energy greater than about 5 GeV.
