This paper deals with comparison with performance parameters of stream and block encryption. The encryption procedure comprises substitution and permutation using chaotic maps (logistic map and combination of maps). For the encryption to be very strong and free from differential attacks and brute force attack etc., image is encrypted n number of times along with the cover image as its substitute, where the cover image remains the same for every number of encryption.
