NDNWN: designing games with aboriginal stories using the Aurora Toolset

Abstract

Video games can provide an interactive digital space for the retelling of Aboriginal stories as interpreted by players. This project explores the Aurora Toolset from BioWare's <i>Neverwinter Nights</i>---a computer role-playing game based largely around text branching conversations and quests---as a game engine for modifying Aboriginal content into game space.
