An overview of matter-coupled ${\cal N}=2$ supergravity theories with 8 real supercharges, in 4,5 and 6 dimensions is given. The construction of the theories by superconformal methods is explained from basic principles. Special geometry is obtained and characterized. The relation between the theories in those dimensions is discussed. This leads to the concepts of very special geometry and quaternionic-Kahler manifolds, whose structures are explained.

We construct solutions of four-dimensional $N=2$ gauged supergravity coupled to vector multiplets which are holographically dual to superconformal line defects. For the gauged STU and the
We review a special class of N=2 supergravity model that interpolates all the single-dilaton truncations of the maximal SO(8) gauged supergravity. We also provide explicit non-extremal, charged black

We provide a unified description of the three covariant superspace approaches to N = 2 conformal supergravity in four dimensions: (i) conformal superspace; (ii) U(2) superspace; and (iii) SU(2)

We discuss an embedding of su( n) rank two antisymmetric supercharges in the su(2, 2| d n) superalgebra, where d n = n( n − 1)/2. We describe an algorithm to construct the explicit form of the

We consider mass-deformed theories with \mathcal{N}\geq2𝒩≥2 supersymmetry on round and squashed three-spheres. By embedding the supersymmetric backgrounds in extended supergravity we show that at

Abstract We study the mass-deformed sphere free energy of three-dimensional $$\mathcal{N}$$ N = 2 superconformal field theories with holographic duals. Building on previous observations, we

We study \mathcal{N}=2𝒩=2 theories on four-dimensional manifolds that admit a Killing vector vv with isolated fixed points. It is possible to deform these theories by coupling position-dependent

We present a family of exact planar hairy neutral black hole solutions in extended supergravity with Fayet-Iliopoulos (FI) terms. We consider a model where the magnetic part of FI sector vanishes and

We study the free energy of four-dimensional CFTs on deformed spheres. For generic nonsupersymmetric CFTs only the coefficient of the logarithmic divergence in the free energy is physical, which is

This paper concludes the formulation of N=2 supergravity in harmonic superspace. The authors generalize the approach to include conformal supergravity. The superconformal group is then compensated by
