Abstract Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of therapeutic intervention in patients with mutational falsetto, by applying perceptual and acoustic analysis before and after voice therapy. Materials and methods: Forty-five consecutive patients with mutational falsetto were studied retrospectively. Acoustic analysis (i.e. fundamental frequency, jitter, shimmer, and formants one, two and three) was performed using the Multi-Dimensional Voice Program. Perceptual voice… Expand

Role of Voice Therapy in Patients with Mutational Falsetto
TLDR
Voice therapy plays an important role in lowering F0 and alleviation mental agony of the patients with mutational falsetto. Expand
Voice Therapy Effect on Mutational Falsetto Patients: A Vocal Aerodynamic Study.
TLDR
VT is an effective treatment for mutational falsetto patients with laryngeal hyperfunction and most MF patients can return to normal voice in 4 weeks, while patients without laryngesis may need longer VT period or other adjuvant treatment. Expand
Efficacy of Doctorvox Voice Therapy Technique for Mutational Falsetto.
TLDR
The DoctorVox Voice Therapy Technique is highly effective in mutational falsetto treatment and at the first session, the patients reach a lower fundamental frequency in the chest register; by the 1 month after treatment, they have a normal pitch at speaking. Expand
Speech Range Profile (SRP) Findings Before and After Mutational Falsetto (Puberphonia).
TLDR
Speech Range Profile provides important information about frequency and intensity in mutational falsetto and is a useful technique in terms of evaluating success in therapy. Expand

It is demonstrated that Kinesio taping with voice therapy is an efficient and effective technique for treating mutational falsetto patients. Expand
Effects of Type 3 Thyroplasty on Voice Quality Outcomes in Puberphonia
TLDR
Thyroplasty provides a suitable management option in those cases who fail to respond by voice therapy and is the mainstay of treatment of puberphonia is voice therapy. Expand
Efficacy of Low Mandible Maneuver on Mutational Falsetto
TLDR
The results showed that the LMM is an efficient and rapid technique for treating Mutational falsetto patients and shows high patient compliance. Expand
Type 3 thyroplasty for patients with mutational dysphonia.
TLDR
Type 3 thyroplasty (TP3) is effective for the treatment of patients with mutational dysphonia in whom voice therapy proved unsuccessful, and the voice becomes low-pitched. Expand
Análises perceptivo-auditiva e acústica da voz nos momentos pré e pós fonoterapia de pacientes com falsete mutacional
The most common mutational voice disorder is the mutational falsetto. The voices of four young male patients with mutational falsetto were acoustically and auditory-perceptively analyzed in pre- andExpand

TLDR
It is hypothesized that mutational dysphonia is an habitual dysfunction of the voice with inappropriate activation of the cricothyroid muscle and disuse of laryngeal adductor muscles and Botulinum toxin as an adjunct to voice therapy should be considered before surgical alteration of the glottis in patients with recalcitrant mutational falsetto.
