The mucopolysaccharidoses (MPSs) are a heterogeneous group of inherited metabolic disorders caused by enzyme deficiencies that lead to progressive lysosomal storage of glycosaminoglycans. Musculoskeletal manifestations are common across all forms of MPS and are often apparent early in the disease course.
