A multiplex Primer-Extension Reaction (PER) assay, was specifically designed for the identification, of the major human pathogenic Vibrio species (V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus, V. mimicus, V. alginolyticus and V. fluvialis) in fishery products.
