This article reviews the role of the multidisciplinary care team in the prevention and management of osteoporosis. First, untreated high-risk populations and associated stakeholders are identified. Second, because there is a lack of consensus on the structure and roles of the multidisciplinary care team across health care providers, strategies to improve communication, integration, and continuity of care are addressed.
