We address multiboson production from a heavy $$Z'$$ Z ′ resonance in the context of the UN2HDM, a standard model extension with an additional $$\text {U}(1)'$$ U ( 1 ) ′ symmetry and an enlarged scalar sector with an extra doublet and a singlet. After taking into account theoretical and experimental constraints on the model, it turns out this type of signals – mostly uncovered by current searches – could be sizeable. We focus on three benchmark scenarios, each of them predicting up to 4000…

Anomaly detection from mass unspecific jet tagging

A novel anomaly search method based on jet tagging to select interesting events, which are less likely to be produced by background processes, which is compared to other anomaly detection methods in the literature and discusses possible generalisations.

ScannerS: parameter scans in extended scalar sectors

The ScannerS framework allows straightforward extensions by additional constraints and BSM models such as singlet extensions, different versions of the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, or the different phases of the Next-to Two- Higgs- doublet Model.

HiggsBounds-5: testing Higgs sectors in the LHC 13 TeV Era

We describe recent developments of the public computer code HiggsBounds. In particular, these include the incorporation of LHC Higgs search results from Run 2 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,

Multiphoton signals of a (96 GeV?) stealth boson

Cascade decays of new scalars into final states with multiple photons and possibly quarks may lead to distinctive experimental signatures at high-energy colliders. Such signals are even more striking

A 96 GeV Higgs boson in the N2HDM

We discuss a $$\sim 3\,\sigma $$∼3σ signal (local) in the light Higgs-boson search in the diphoton decay mode at $$\sim 96 \,\, \mathrm {GeV}$$∼96GeV as reported by CMS, together with a $$\sim

Constraints on a 2HDM with a singlet scalar and implications in the search for heavy bosons at the LHC

We study a two-Higgs doublet model extended with an additional singlet scalar (2HDM+S), and provide a brief introduction to the model and its parameters. Constraints are applied to the parameter

Update of the global electroweak fit and constraints on two-Higgs-doublet models

We present an update of the global fit of the Standard Model electroweak sector to latest experimental results. We include new kinematic top quark and W boson mass measurements from the LHC, a $$\sin
