Ta$_4$Pd$_3$Te$_{16}$ is a recently discovered superconductor that has been suggested to be an unconventional superconductor near magnetism. We report electronic structure calculations showing that in spite of the layered crystal structure the material is an anisotropic three dimensional metal. The Fermi surface contains prominent one and two dimensional features, including nested 1D sheets, a 2D cylindrical section and a 3D sheet. The electronic states that make up the Fermi surface are mostly… Expand

Multiband Semimetallic Electronic Structure of Superconducting Ta2PdSe5
The results support the presence of two band superconductivity, although a discrepancy in the specific heat is noted, discussed as a possible consequence of Pd deficiency in samples. Expand
Superconductivity in Ta3Pd3Te14 with quasi-one-dimensional PdTe2 chains
We report bulk superconductivity at 1.0 K in a low-dimensional ternary telluride Ta3Pd3Te14 containing edge-sharing PdTe2 chains along crystallographic b axis, similar to the recently discoveredExpand
Anisotropic Superconducting Gap and Elongated Vortices with Caroli-De Gennes-Matricon States in the New Superconductor Ta4Pd3Te16
It is suggested at least one anisotropic superconducting gap with gap minima or possible node exists in this multiband system of Ta4Pd3Te16 and elongated vortices are observed with an anisotropy of ξ||b/ξ&bottom⊥b ≈ 2.5. Expand
