Mouse Asc-1 (asc-type amino acid transporter 1) maps to chromosome 7, region B1-B5

Abstract

D-Serine is an endogenous modulator of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA)/glutamate receptors [1]. A high af¢nity mammalian transporter for D-serine, expressed in brain, has recently been identi¢ed [2] (Kanai.Y; GenBank Accession AB026688), and designated as Asc-1. This transporter associates with 4F2 heavy chain [2,3], and exhibits substrate selectivity for small… (More)
