Although light is the strongest zeitgeber for the circadian pacemaker, other stimuli can also produce entrainment. In the rat, periodic restricted feeding (RF) is a weak stimulus that may act as a zeitgeber. We tested the effect of RF on the motor activity rhythms of rats subjected to forced dissociation.
