A midge,Odinadiplosis odinae Mani induces galls along the midribs of the leaflets ofLannea coramandelica (Hoult.) Merr. (=Odina wodier Roxb.). Gall initiation takes place at a very early stage of leaf development, incited by the larvae from the superficially deposited eggs, migrating into the leaf tissue.
