A new species, Habrobathynella indica, is described. The male thoracopod VIII of this species is unique within the Parabathynellidae in its penis‐like extension of the internal lobe reaching thoracopod VII. The other two species known from India also have features unique to either the family or the genus. Habrobathynella schminkei has a seta on the uropod distally of the thick terminal spine of the spine row, a seta otherwise unknown in the family, and H. nagarjunai has a homonomous spine row… Expand
The Second Representative of the Genus Indocandona Gupta (Ostracoda) from a Well in Southeastern India
TLDR
The new species has many clear morphological differences compared with the type species of the genus, the most important ones being a much reduced caudal ramus and extremely elongated fingers on the prehensile palps. Expand

Three new species of the genus Habrobathynella Schminke, 1973 (Syncarida, Parabathynellidae) from the peninsular India.
TLDR
The genus Habrobathynella Schminke, 1973, presently contains 11 species: two species from Madagascar and nine from the peninsular India, and one new species of the same genus, H. pseudoindica n. Expand
Habrobathynella Borraensis n. sp. (Syncarida: Bathynellacea: Parabathynellidae) from the Borra Caves of Southeastern India, with a Note on the Taxonomic Significance of Paragnath Morphology
TLDR
This species has a unique combination of characters: male Th VIII elongate, somewhat subquadrate in lateral views, with both dentate and inner lobes moderately produced and reaching about the level of exopod. Expand
First record of Bathynellacea (Crustacea, Syncarida, Parabathynellidae) in China: a new genus
TLDR
This is the first time that the Bathynellacea (family Parabathynellidae) has been found in China, extending the range of distribution of this taxon in Asia. Expand
First Haplocyclops Kiefer (Crustacea, Copepoda) from Indian subterranean waters : the most reduced free-living cyclopoid
TLDR
The degree of reductions concerning the segmentation of the swimming legs makes the new species of small cyclopoids from subterranean waters of India the most reduced free-living cyclopoid, with both rami of third and fourth legs, as well as the endopod of second leg being one-segmented in both sexes. Expand
Novel sexual dimorphism in a new genus of Bathynellidae from Russia, with a revision of phylogenetic relationships
TLDR
The molecular phylogeny supports the morphology and the erection of the new genus and displays highly divergent genetic units corresponding to subfamilies, with thenew genus closer to Bathynellinae genera than other subfam families. Expand

Co-Occurrence of Two Species of the Genus Habrobathynella Schminke, 1973 (Malacostraca, Bathynellacea) in Sandy Sediments of the River Godavari, Southeastern India, with the Description of a New Species
TLDR
The possibility for the co-occurrence of two congeneric species in this case may be their difference in body size, H. schminkei reaching only 55% of the size of H. plenituda sp. Expand
