The surface tension of liquid Co–Mo alloys is calculated by the Monte Carlo (MC) method using embedded atom method (EAM) potentials. For liquid Co–10% Mo alloy, the calculated surface tension at the liquidus temperature is 1.51 N/m, which is 20% smaller than the experimental result. The temperature coefficient of the surface tension is 4.72 × 10−4 N/m · K.
