Abstract This work elaborates the effects of monovalent doping on the structural, magnetic and magnetotransport properties of La0.833R0.167MnO3, where R = Li+, Na+, Ag+ and K+. Rietveld refinement of XRD profiles reveal that the compounds crystallize in rhombohedral structure, with the rhombohedral distortion angle (α) exhibiting an inverse relation with A-site ionic radius (˂ rA˃).
