The genus Amithao Thomson, 1878 is comprehensively revised and the following new synonyms are established: Desicasta nonfriedi Schoch andAmithao erici Mitter are amithao erythropus (Burmeister); Amith Yao thomsoni (Janson) is Amithaos haematopus (Schaum); and Amitho spence (Gory and Percheron) is amitho tristis (F.).
