Spherical Bi(2)MoO(6) nanoarchitectures with scale of 500 nm-2 μm were prepared by a solvothermal reaction using bismuth nitrate and ammonium molybdate as precursors. Ag(3)PO(4) nanoparticles were then deposited onto the surface of Bi(2)MoO(6)via a facile deposition-precipitation technique. The photocatalytic tests display that the Ag(3)PO(4)/Bi(2)MoO(6) nanocomposites possess a much higher rate for degradation of rhodamine B and methylene blue than the pure Ag(3)PO(4) nanoparticles and Bi(2…
Facile Preparation of AgI/Bi2MoO6 Heterostructured Photocatalysts with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity
Bi2MoO6 microspheres were modified by loading AgI nanoparticles on their surfaces by a facile deposition/precipitation approach. The as-prepared AgI/Bi2MoO6 heterostructured photocatalysts exhibit
Ag3PO4 nanoparticles loaded on 3D flower-like spherical MoS2: a highly efficient hierarchical heterojunction photocatalyst.
TLDR
The enhanced performance of the hierarchical Ag3PO4/MoS2 composites under visible light was caused by a synergistic effect including the improved separation of photogenerated charge carriers, boosted light harvesting, a relatively high surface area and matching energy band structures between the two components.
Bi Cocatalyst/Bi2MoO6 Microspheres Nanohybrid with SPR-Promoted Visible-Light Photocatalysis
To develop efficient visible light driven photocatalysts for air purification, we constructed a novel semimetal–semiconductor Bi–Bi2MoO6 (Bi–Mo) nanohybrid via the in situ deposition of Bi

Hydrothermal synthesis, structural characteristics, and enhanced photocatalysis of SnO(2)/alpha-Fe(2)O(3) semiconductor nanoheterostructures.
TLDR
It was demonstrated that the SnO( 2) nanorods would change their preferential growth direction on the varied alpha-Fe(2)O(3) precursors with distinct crystallographic surface, driven by decrease in the distortion energy induced by lattice mismatch at the interfaces.
Facet effect of single-crystalline Ag3PO4 sub-microcrystals on photocatalytic properties.
TLDR
This work has developed a facile and general route for high-yield fabrication of single-crystalline Ag(3)PO(4) rhombic dodecahedrons with only {110} facets exposed and cubes bounded entirely by {100} facets.
Tuning Photoelectrochemical Performances of Ag−TiO2 Nanocomposites via Reduction/Oxidation of Ag
The effects of chemical states of Ag on the photoelectrochemical (PEC) properties of Ag−TiO2 composites were investigated with Ag(0)−TiO2 and Ag(I)−TiO2 prepared by photoreduction-thermal treatment
Solvothermal synthesis of bismuth molybdate hollow microspheres with high photocatalytic activity.
TLDR
Investigation revealed that the surface area, grain size, and hollow structure of the as-prepared Bi2MoO6 microspheres are responsible for the improvement of the photocatalytic activity.
