The D 9 8 / A H 2 cell line (a subline of HeLa) expresses a form of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) which closely resembles the adult and fetal intestinal forms of ALP. To character ize this ectopic form of ALP, four monocIonal antibodies were raised against D 9 8 / A H 2 ALP, and their binding with ALPs from D 9 8 / AH-2 cells, placenta, fetal intestine (meconium), adult intestine, and liver was compared using an electrophoret ic titration procedure.
