The purpose of this paper is to determine the activities of rock deformation and failure around a tunnel, and to guaed the safety of a high building over the tunnel. The activities of building and rock around the tunnel were measured by using the EAE-04 acoustic and electromagnetic system. The effective AE (acoustic emission) EME (electromagnetic emission) signals are determined, and the noises eliminated by referring to the relationship between the risetime and duration of the signal. The rock… Expand
Studying the dynamic damage failure of concrete based on acoustic emission
Abstract Understanding the properties of concrete under load is essential for assessing the stability and serviceability of buildings. In this work, the uniaxial compression test of concrete wasExpand
Acoustic Emission Analysis method for solving problems of damage mechanisms in concrete structures
Acoustic Emission Analysis (AEA) is a non-destructive method that has been utilized to detect damage mechanisms in different applications. The use of this technique in materials failure diagnosis hasExpand
