  • Citrus thrips Pezothrips kellyanus was first recorded in Sicily in 1998. This species is considered a key pest in Sicilian citrus orchards. In a preliminary survey, P. kellyanus was the main thrips species in all samples, followed by Thrips flavus and Thrips tabaci, which are considered secondary pests; Lemon was the variety most commonly attacked, followed by orange.
