Abstract Molecular markers were identified in common wheat for the Pm24 locus conferring resistance to different isolates of the powdery mildew pathogen, Erysiphe graminis DM f. sp. tritici (Em. Marchal). Bulked segregant analysis was used to identify amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers and microsatellite markers linked to the gene Pm24 in an F2 progeny from the cross Chinese Spring (susceptible)× Chiyacao (resistant). Two AFLP markers XACA/CTA-407 and XACA/CCG-420, and three… Expand

Inheritance and genetic mapping of a gene for seedling resistance to powdery mildew in wheat line X3986-2
TLDR
PmX3986-2 with its tightly linked DNA markers should be useful for broadening the genetic basis of Pm and rapidly transferring the resistance gene to susceptible cultivars or for us in gene pyramiding for resistance breeding. Expand
Characterization of a New Pm2 Allele Conferring Powdery Mildew Resistance in the Wheat Germplasm Line FG-1
TLDR
It was concluded that PmFG is a new allele at the Pm2 locus of chromosome 5DS and opportunities for marker-assisted pyramiding of this gene with other genes for powdery mildew resistance and additional traits are indicated. Expand
Microsatellite mapping of the powdery mildew resistance gene Pm5e in common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
TLDR
The mapping information in the present study provides a starting point for fine mapping of the Pm5 locus and map-based cloning to clarify the molecular structure and function of the different alleles at the Pn4 locus. Expand
Chromosomal location of a Triticum dicoccoides-derived powdery mildew resistance gene in common wheat by using microsatellite markers
TLDR
It is suggested that the resistance gene derived from 'G-305-M' is a novel powdery mildew resistance gene and is temporarily designated MlG, which is located on the long arm of chromosome 6AL. Expand
Molecular characterization of a novel powdery mildew resistance gene Pm30 in wheat originating from wild emmer
TLDR
A powdery mildew resistance gene, originating from wild emmerwheat (Triticum dicoccoides) accession `C20', from Rosh Pinna, Israel, was successfully transferred to hexaploid wheat through crossing and backcrossing and is designated Pm30. Expand
Microsatellite mapping of powdery mildew resistance allele Pm5d from common wheat line IGV1-455
TLDR
The powdery mildew resistance allele Pm5d in the backcross-derived wheat lines IGV 1-455 and IGV1-556 shows a wide spectrum of resistance and virulent pathotypes have not yet been detected in Germany, and the use of linked molecular markers could enhance selection, especially for gene pyramiding. The detail information on chromosomal location, molecular markers linked to powdery mildew, mapping population and molecular mapping of powdery Mildew resistance genes have been reviewed. Expand
Fine mapping of powdery mildew resistance gene Pm4e in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
TLDR
This study has established the foundation for map-based cloning of Pm4e, a resistance gene locus that has played a key role in controlling this disease in wheat production and some of the co-dominant markers developed in this study could help in marker-assisted transfer of P m4e into elite cultivars.
