Flagellar export chaperone FliS prevents premature polymerization of flagellins and is critical for flagellar assembly and bacterial colonization. Previously, a yeast 2-hybrid study identified various FliS-associated proteins in Helicobacter pylori, but the implications of these interactions are not known.
