In the recent years, phenomenological models of moduli stabilization were proposed, where the dynamics of the stabilization is essentially supersymmetric, whereas an O'Rafearthaigh supersymmetry breaking sector is responsible for the ``uplift'' of the cosmological constant to zero. We investigate the case where the uplift is provided by a Fayet-Iliopoulos sector. We find that in this case the modulus contribution to supersymmetry breaking is larger than in the previous models. A first…

F-term uplifting and moduli stabilization consistent with Kähler invariance

An important ingredient in the construction of phenomenologically viable superstring models is the uplifting of Anti-de Sitter supersymmetric critical points in the moduli sector to metastable

Moduli Stabilization in non-Supersymmetric Minkowski Vacua with Anomalous U(1) Symmetry

We study how two moduli can be stabilized in a Minkowski/de Sitter vacuum for a wide class of string-inspired Supergravity models with an effective Fayet-like Supersymmetry breaking. It is shown

Dynamically sequestered F-term uplifting in extra dimension

We study moduli stabilization, the dynamical supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking, the uplifting of SUSY anti-de Sitter (AdS) vacuum and the sequestering of hidden sector in a five-dimensional supergravity

Moduli stabilization and supersymmetry breaking in heterotic orbifold string models

In this paper, we discuss the issues of supersymmetry breaking and moduli stabilization within the context of E 8 ⊗ E 8 heterotic orbifold constructions and, in particular, we focus on the class of

On moduli stabilisation and de Sitter vacua in MSSM heterotic orbifolds

We study the problem of moduli stabilisation in explicit heterotic orbifold compactifications, whose spectra contain the MSSM plus some vector-like exotics that can be decoupled. Considering all the

Sequestering in string compactifications

We study the mediation of supersymmetry breaking in string compactifications whose moduli are stabilized by nonperturbative effects. We begin with a critical review of arguments for sequestering in

Note on moduli stabilization, supersymmetry breaking, and axiverse

We study properties of moduli stabilization in the four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=1$ supergravity theory with heavy moduli and would-be saxion-axion multiplets, including light string-theoretic

Finite temperature behaviour of the ISS-uplifted KKLT model

We study the static phase structure of the ISS-KKLT model for moduli stabil- isation and uplifting to a zero cosmological constant. Since the supersymmetry breaking sector and the moduli sector are

Metastable SUSY breaking, de Sitter moduli stabilisation and Kähler moduli inflation

We study the influence of anomalous U(1) symmetries and their associated D-terms on the vacuum structure of global field theories once they are coupled to N = 1 supergravity and in the context of

On the effective description of large volume compactifications

We study the reliability of the Two-Step moduli stabilization in the type-IIB Large Volume Scenarios with matter and gauge interactions. The general analysis is based on a family of $ \mathcal{N} = 1

Systematics of moduli stabilisation in Calabi-Yau flux compactifications

We study the large volume limit of the scalar potential in Calabi-Yau flux compactifications of type IIB string theory. Under general circumstances there exists a limit in which the potential

Moduli stabilization, F-term uplifting and soft supersymmetry breaking terms(Summer Institute 2007)

We study moduli stabilization with F-term uplifting. As a source of uplifting F-term, we consider spontaneous supersymmetry breaking models, e.g. the Polonyi model and the Intriligator-Seiberg-Shih

Moduli Stabilization in Meta-Stable Heterotic Supergravity Vacua

We revisit the issue of moduli stabilization in a class of = 1 four dimensional supergravity theories which are low energy descriptions of standard perturbative heterotic string vacua compactified on

F-term uplifting via consistent D-terms

The issue of fine-tuning necessary to achieve satisfactory degree of hierarchy between moduli masses, the gravitino mass and the scale of the cosmological constant has been revisited in the context

Explaining the Electroweak Scale and Stabilizing Moduli in M Theory

In a recent paper [1] it was shown that in M theory vacua without fluxes, all moduli are stabilized by the effective potential and a stable hierarchy is generated, consistent with standard gauge

Stringy corrections to Kahler potentials, SUSY breaking, and the cosmological constant problem

The moduli of N = 1 compactifications of IIB string theory can be stabilized by a combination of fluxes (which freeze complex structure moduli and the dilaton) and nonperturbative superpotentials

Almost no scale supergravity

We construct an explicit 5-dimensional supergravity model that realizes the `no scale' mechanism for supersymmetry breaking, with all moduli stabilized consistently by low-energy dynamics in the

Locally stable non-supersymmetric Minkowski vacua in supergravity

We perform a general study about the existence of non-supersymmetric minima with vanishing cosmological constant in supergravity models involving only chiral superfields. We study the conditions
